Staying in MACHIYA (Japanese Kyoto style traditonal house)
KINGYOYA is the small guesthouse Ryokan which renovated the old traditional Japanese house in Nishijin, Kyoto Japan.
There is no private bathroom/toilet and you need to share bathroom and toilet with other guests.
You might hear noise of other guests because walls is not sound proof and we use FUSUMA, Japanese paper door for partitions.
I hope you enjoy your stay with natural way to be in traditional house and rhythm with the four seasons.

Appealing Nishijin Culture
Nishijin is located at northwest of Kyoto city and famous for Nishijin-ori which is designated as one of Japan's Traditional Crafts. It employs a variety of different weaving styles. Also it is very traditional and historical town.
KINGYOYA is the best place to enjoy Kyoto trip especially Nishijin area. It is kind of far from Kyoto station but I am sure you are able to find and feel real Kyoto culture. Kingyoya is easy to access Golden Temple, Daitoku-ji, Ryuan-ji, Kitanotenmangu, Imamiya shirine which is famous sights in Kyoto.
We also reccomend you to visit Funaoka-Onsen (most famous public bath), Funaoka park, Kamishitike(Maiko place) and Jofukuji Street (stone path) which is close from KINGYOYA.
